We work with growers of food and medicine to assess nutritional deficiencies and optimize plant nutrition yielding healthier crops, reduces fertilizer waste and contribute to the stewardship of the soil.
Agronomic analyses are of major importance whether you are a large-scale agricultural operation or a home gardener. These assessments can give foresight into a pending nutrient imbalance and allow a cultivator to actualize their overall crop and soil health potential. By monitoring nutritional distribution within a cultivators operation, one can make informed decisions that will impact the crop and the land for many growing seasons into the future.
Total Nitrogen and Organic Carbon
Similar to total elemental nitrogen analysis in soil, total elemental nitrogen analysis in tissue can be the single most important test performed to determine both the health status of a crop and the suitability of a soil to support growth during the growing season. We perform Total Nitrogen and Organic Carbon analysis using the combustion method rather than the older Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN) method. This reduces hazardous waste generation in the lab, yields less variability in the data, and provides a lower limit of detection.

Carbon/Nitrogen Analyzer (Combustion method)
Plant Tissue
Nitrate
Nitrate levels in plant tissue are a valuable measurement, accurately depicting deficiency or abundance. This information can save a cultivator time and money by knowing when, what, and how much amendments and/or fertilizer to apply to a crop. This information will aid in preventing crop or yield loss caused by nitrogen deficiency and will also prevent over fertilization of nitrogen containing fertilizers, thus minimizing toxicity symptoms and environmental impact.
Instrumentation
Flow Injection Analyzer (Cadmium Reduction Method)
Total Plant Nutritive Elements
(P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, S, Cu, Zn, Mn, B, and Fe)
Total elemental analysis of plant tissue will give a grower a broad view of the nutritional status of a crop. This test will allow a grower to make informed decisions regarding fertilizer practices and can aid in diagnosing deficiencies and toxicities within the crop system.
